Titleist 917D2 Driver

The Titleist 917D2 Driver is the larger of the two drivers in the 917 range and has been built to give you maximum forgiveness and performance off the tee.

Although the colour is a little different the appearance at address will not look too dissimilar to that of the 915D2 Driver.

The big change has happened is in the face of the driver where Titleist have used their Radial Face technology to provide explosive ball speeds off the face to gain those important extra yards off the tee. To improve forgiveness Titleist have re-engineered their Active Recoil Channel to help you get away with shots that come off low on the face as well as increasing face stability through impact.

Another big change is the SureFit CG that will allow you to change the flight and spin characteristics without sacrificing forgiveness. SureFit CG took 5 years to develop and is located towards the rear of the head.

In a standard 917D2 you will receive a neutral cartridge and an additional draw/fade cartridge weight that will allow you to alter the launch, spin and shot shape. To manipulate your shot preference Titleist have placed the SureFit CG location at an angle. By placing the heavier weight towards the face you will experience lower spin rates by up to 300 RPM and vice versa if you are looking to get more control and a higher ball flight.

Titleist have continued to utilise their SureFit hosel system that will enable you to custom the loft and face setting to suit your game and get the most out of the club. The SureFit hosel system has 16 independent settings that will allow you to alter loft and face settings to fine tune the performance of your driver.
